[Registry
Explorer]
|
Maintaining your
computer at peak performance becomes an
arduous task as you use your computer over
time, and trying to understand your
Windows registry in and out is difficult
even for long-time users.
That is why Whirling Dervishes Software has
developed the Registry
Explorer 1.4. It is a shell-extension
software that takes on full integration with
your Windows registry so that you do not have
to manually edit your registry entries with
Microsoft’s Regedit.
The software provides features such as
dragging, dropping, copying, and pasting making
the movement of values much more convenient and
seamless.
Another key
feature is the Find function, which is very
handy when you are looking for something
specific in that web of data. With this
program, you can also create inverse registry
files, which are useful for deleting designated
keys or values.
Registry Explorer
version 1.4 lets you create backups of keys,
restore them, load, and unload hives. This
program is compatible with all versions of
Windows, and is only 1.38 MB in
size.

Indeed handy, yes.. Instead of
firing up any other app than the
one probably most used and
therefore probably open anyway,
Registry Explorer adds more walue
to the name Windows
Explorer. |

Registry Explorer seems like a
great idea, but my experience with
it was disappointing. |

It ran very smoothly, but when
I tried searching, it froze my comp
twice. Hopefully the developers can
fix this--it looks very
promising. |
