Samyak Inc. has released
Registry Doctor 1.00 in
May of 2003. Registry Doctor provides
features such as Registry Files Backup and
Restore, defragmenter, cleaner, and
compacter. Registry Doctor is used to
bring your PC back to its peak
performance.
The ease of use
of this program is best used by the less
technical users as most of its processes are
hands off. The program’s dashboard is intuitive
and displays its prominent tools on the left
and the panel list of registry fixes on the
right. The defragmenter will quickly free up
your system’s RAM and tell you how much has
been freed up.
The registry scanner takes up quite some time,
but you may also decide which areas of your
system you wish to scan such as fonts, shared
DLLs, application paths, and ActiveX
controls.
Registry Doctor does not automatically back up
your registry, but it has a tool there for you
to use, which is highly recommended before
making any changes to your registry because
Registry Doctor does not notify you if a
registry entry is malicious or benign. This
small 1.96 MB program will not interfere with
your system’s performance while it is running
in the background.

Finally, a program that alows
you to defrag, reindex, and compact
the registry hive all in one
execution. Not only that, but you
can backup/restore the registry
along with cleaning out the useless
obsolete junk. I would go so far to
say that it does a better job then
Norton System Works. |
