[Registry
Crawler]
|
 When
it comes to using RegEdit, even the most
advanced users find it complicating and
inconvenient to use. That is why
4Developers has released Registry
Crawler 4.5.
It is software that will allow administrators,
developers, and advanced users to search and
configure registry settings. Registry Crawler
provides a powerful search engine with an up to
date algorithm that will allow you to find what
you need within your registry.
With a simplistic
User Interface, consisting of check boxes,
buttons, tabs, and a list box, you will be able
to conveniently search through your registry
with ease. Among its many features is the built
in support for bookmarks, which would allow you
to freely and quickly access your most
frequented registry entries without the need to
access the RegEdit tool. Registry Crawler also
includes built in support for registry editing
and multiple key deletions for those who find
manual editing to be tedious.
Of its many key
features, Registry Crawler 4.5 also includes
search & replace, text or HTML reporting
feature, integration with the RegEdit tool,
clipboard support, the ability to run this
program on multiple remote computers, and many
others.
Registry Crawler
version 4.5 improves on previous builds with an
export function, web lookup feature, Windows XP
design, and multiple computer selection. This
program is supported on Windows
95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP.

I use the complimentary program
"Registry Crawler" (not free but
very cheap) to search for items in
the Registry as it is simply the
best utility I have found for such
purposes. |

This product does exactly what
it says: it provides a clean,
easy-to-use interface for browsing
the data contained within your
registry in a way so that you can
easily see where different values
are being stored. The editor review
may complain about password
protecting your files, but the fact
is that this data is easily
viewable by anyone who knows how to
type "regedit" into the run
menu. |
