Windows crashes, the blue screen of death, and software lock up are some of the common system malfunctions experienced by PC users. Many of these problems are often attributed to errors in your Windows registry.

Rose City Software has developed Registry First Aid 6, released in 2007, to prevent those annoyances. Registry First Aid enables users to scan, fix, and restore their Windows registry.

Registry First Aid is programmed to locate invalid file and folder references present in the Windows registry; allow the user to manually select which drives and paths to be searched; display the results in an interactive panel, delete invalid registry files, and create undo files provided in RegEdit4 formatting. Its main dashboard is comprised of two panels:

the left side containing the various sections of your Windows registry and the right side containing the obsolete registry data. It is an intuitive design with simplicity kept in mind.

Rose City Software’s Registry First Aid version 6 build 1376 is compatible with all versions of Windows and is only 3.26 MB in size.

This is a simple reg cleaner, it offers a very comprehensive help file. I dont have any problems with it, but I would say if you use it and are uncertain of an entry, leave it and ask an expert. It is very easy to mess up the registry if you dont know what you are modifying.

I have used a lot of registry cleaners over the years and most aren't worth the money. I think Registry First Aid does a good job and gives you the opportunity to choose what you want to delete, which is the way to go. I like the software, it seems to work.
